Annual Fund Drive For NILMDTS

With the Month of October being recognized as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, The Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Foundation holds its Annual Fund Drive for six weeks starting in mid-September and ending in October.

President Ronald Reagan enacted Proclamation 5890 in October of 1988 to recognize that each year, approximately a million pregnancies in the United States alone end in miscarriage, stillbirth, or the death of a newborn child. Reagan stated, "A national observance offers us the opportunity to increase our understanding of the great tragedy involved in the deaths of unborn or newborn babies. It also enables us to consider how, as individuals and communities, we can meet the needs of bereaved parents and family members... " To read the full Proclamation signed by Reagan, CLICK HERE.

If you are in a place to make even a small contribution to NILMDTS, please know that doing so will continue to allow the organization to provide improved resources, training, communication, and other tools necessary in support of our amazing contingent of professional photographers who provide the gift of free remembrance portraiture to families in need.

Our next project we are working on is an online, interactive webinar version of our Formal NILMDTS Training taught by Co-Founder Sandy Puc' allowing anyone in any country with access to a computer to complete the course online. Donations help make programs like this a reality!

This week is the week I WILL scrap lol I promised myself that there is nothing that will keep me from doing this!

I just created some new tutus and of course that means some new pics to scrap!

This is my little Maddison... she is getting so big!

Have you ever noticed that life just never slows down?  Not even when you want it to...

Yep we can pretty much depend on knowing that the World will keep spinning, the sun will rise and the sun will set.

The only thing we really have control over is what we choose to do during the crazy times!

I have been feeling as if I have been to consumed with many other things and I have actually allowed myself to lose touch of some very important things.

I scrapped a layout a few days ago but really I have not even thought about scrapping much since.  I have played with the kids but I feel as if I have not been able to give them all of me.

I know that I have been bummed with my knee that is still injured.  I try not to let it get to me but lets face it... this one is hard to ignore.  I had a second MRI performed and went for the results hoping that I would be told it was in my head at this point and that I could start physical therapy but nope... I was instead told that I am not crazy, there is something wrong.  I still have a partial tear of my left PCL AND no other damage to anything else which as my ortho put it is basically almost impossible to do.  So now he is baffled and not sure what we should do next.  He is discussing it with others and I am returning in three weeks, sooner if he has a plan.

Me, well I tried to do back to school shopping for Chris and Kim at the mall last weekend and that was painful so I discovered the World of on line shopping which I have to tell you kind of ROCKS!  Seriously you all have to hear me out... If you go to the mall or any store sure they have sales racks and all but you have to walk around and look for the deals.  If you go on line to ANY store you can basically pick the area you are interested in AND sort the prices lowest to highest!  AND you do not need to mess with lunch, dinner, snacks and so on!  I really think I got a lot more items for a lot less this way!

Today we went and purchased the backpacks and supplies so we are officially ready for Kindergarten and Third grade in our new area.

Crazy times!

I am going to scrap tomorrow! I can not let these times pass by without documenting them! I am going to put my knee aside and play some darn Candy Land with the kiddos just because they love it!
